In my previous article about Error Checking in Windows XP, I told you a bit about this. This system does not actually check the registry for errors. It does, however, tell you if there are any errors in the registry, and if so, how many of them there are, and what type of problems they are causing.

What Error Checking in Windows XP can actually do is to find and remove any of the files or errors in the registry that might be causing problems with your computer, but which may be quite difficult to locate and remove if you are new to this system. I shall now tell you how this can be done.

Most errors that occur on a computer are caused by some problems with the computer hardware, such as when it does not get power properly, or when a device fails. These issues will normally not cause any problems until other problems occur, such as an error in the registry.

If you have the ability to look at the registry yourself, you can identify the problems and then fix them one at a time. That way you will know which ones are causing problems, and how to fix them.

You can then use Registry Cleaner to scan your registry and remove any of the errors in it that you identified. You can also use it to make backups of your registry before you start fixing any of the errors you have found.

However, if you have no technical knowledge, it is best to use a “registry repair” program which has been developed by experts in this field. This will not only make the job easier, but it will also speed up the repair process, because it can do all of the tedious work that you would normally do yourself.

You should check out some of the better programs on the Internet if you want to try to clean out the registry yourself. Some of them are available free of charge, but there are also many that require you to pay a small fee.

After you have used one of the registry repair programs, you will never want to go back to manual error checking again! The time it takes to do these programs will save you hours of troubleshooting and frustration on your part.

I should tell you right away that there are several programs out there that offer more than one type of scan. This means that you can choose a program that gives you detailed error checking and another one that do less detailed checkups. This makes it easier to quickly find the errors in your system and then fix them.

It will take a lot longer to find the errors, but it’s a very simple task. I don’t know about you, but I am not someone who likes to waste my time looking for errors and having to go back to the point where I started.

If you don’t want to spend the time doing it manually, and you don’t have enough time to look around in your PC, the registry manually, you can hire a professional for the job. Most professionals will have a tool that will perform both the detailed and the less detailed scan.

It’s a good idea to look around online for different software programs and compare prices. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, especially if you’re not sure you know what you’re getting.

One thing you really need to remember about the various registry cleaners is that they are all created differently. Some of the top programs are the most expensive because they’re designed to be the best.
