CAD1000. This course introduces students to the theory of computer-aided design, software applications, file formats, hardware, AutoCAD software, and various graphic screens used to do the basic drawing functions. Students also learn the various types of CAD drawings available for free on the Internet. The software is used in conjunction with some text files that are saved on the computer. Students may print these text files and draw what they see on their own computer.
CAD500. This course is designed to train students to use AutoCAD to produce designs that can be manufactured. Students may then hire for services in producing and selling the completed work to clients.
CAD600. In this course students learn to construct 3D models using a CAD application.
CAD700. Students learn how to analyze CAD data and use it to design the construction of buildings and equipment.
CAD800. This class is designed for students who wish to learn how to use AutoCAD in the construction of steel structures. Students will be given a series of lab exercises to complete at certain times during the day that cover the theory of building structures, and then be allowed to work on their own computer to complete the lab exercises.
CAD900. Students learn to use AutoCAD for the production of building plans and drawings.
To obtain employment in an architectural design firm one must complete the relevant coursework provided by their chosen CAD provider. A course offered by the Institute of Construction Management and Engineering will prepare students for this job.
The building industry is not only involved in the design of buildings. They also have many other responsibilities, including the provision of structural and civil engineering services for commercial, institutional, government, industrial and residential buildings. These services include:
The three areas of the field of architecture are planning, design, and construction, which is the term used for the three main processes in building construction. The planning and design of buildings usually cover the selection of materials and buildings; the design of buildings, including floor plans, windows, doors and interior finishes, which are required for the installation of the building; and the foundation of the building and any supporting columns that support it; and drainage systems.
Construction workers may work with a variety of material, including concrete, stone, wood, metals, fiberglass and ceramic and plastic. Most construction workers are also involved in the installation of foundations.
Civil engineering refers to the construction of structures such as roads, bridges, dams, and buildings. This includes the planning, design, maintenance and construction of buildings. Many civil engineers also perform the duties of roofers, foundation builders, foundation diggers, and soil and water management professionals.
Computer aided drawing and drafting is also referred to as CAD. It is a method of drawing or modeling a structure by utilizing computer software that uses specialized software to create drawings of the structure with detailed measurements.
Buildings are built in three stages – the design, construction and finish. Each stage requires specific skills to complete. The architect takes into consideration many factors before choosing materials and tools, including location of the building, its size and shape, and how the structure will be used. Then, they decide what kind of finishing will be used, such as stonework, flooring, insulation, doors and windows.
The building itself is constructed by a crew of skilled workers who use heavy equipment, such as cranes, forklifts and lifts, to install beams, walls, and other structures to the foundation of the building. Once the foundation has been poured, workers use carpentry tools, such as hammers, chisels, saws and grinders, to put finishing touches on the structure.
Once the structure has been completed, it is time to complete the finish building and make it ready for occupancy. The finish building is then rented out to individuals or businesses that use it for an office, store, or other business. Many people rent out finished buildings for events such as weddings, parties, fundraisers or conferences.
In addition to being a great way to get into the field of building construction jobs, there are also many vocational training programs that are available. from which to learn the many aspects of construction work such as carpentry, electrical wiring, and plumbing.
