The second step after getting your Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is to apply to the American Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCAP). This is a rigorous process and will take you about two years. Your application will be reviewed by the committee, and then it is your turn to submit it to the auditors. Once the final review is done, you can become a certified public accountant.
After you have been accepted by the ASCAP, you must continue to pursue your education. There are many online schools or colleges that offer different levels of education, in order to qualify as an accountant. This will require you to attend school at least four to five times per year, depending on the course that you choose.
The next step in becoming a certified public accountant, is to complete the CPA exam. There are several different versions of this exam, but the majority of them are administered by the National Council of Accountancy. To pass the examination, you must successfully complete one of the following five sections: Principles of Accounting, General Financial Accounting, Income Taxes, Reporting, and Procedures. After you have passed the exam, you will be able to become certified as an accountant.
In addition to passing the CPA examination, you will also need to complete a number of classes in other Accounting subjects, including the theory portion of the class. It would be advisable for you to study for this exam on your own, in order to familiarize yourself with the subject matter.
Once you have completed your accounting course, you should find a local Accounting school that would give you the certification as a Certified Public Accountant. The best schools would usually offer the course through an online platform.
If you wish to be a certified public accountant, it would also be wise for you to find a career as an accountant, in which you will be responsible in dealing with the financial aspect of your company or organization. You will definitely find a job in this field.
There are also accounting classes that teach you about tax preparation and audits. These classes teach you about how to use the government’s tax filing system and how to file taxes for your business.
The Accounting class may also teach you about financial statement analysis. This involves the use of accounting software to perform statistical analysis of financial data, as well as the presentation of the data, so that your employer can make financial decisions.
Many Accounting classes teach about auditing and collecting tax information from different companies. This includes a lot of tasks, such as assessing the tax forms that a company has filed, looking for errors in the documents, and accounting for the deductions that your company has taken.
As a professional, you will also need to do bookkeeping and accounting class work. You will use spreadsheets and a computer to keep track of your accounts.
