There are many colleges that offer electrical engineering courses. At many community colleges, you will need to find an institution that is accredited and offers classes and credits for the state exams required to work in this field. Most technical colleges also offer courses related to electronics. You may even be able to take an elective course at your local community college that is related to electrical engineering.
If you are currently employed, you may be eligible to take some electives in electrical engineers to qualify for a better job. You may not have to take the full course, but it helps if you have the knowledge needed to pass the entrance exam and get hired for the job you are applying to.
When applying for electrical engineering positions, many employers will require that you have at least five years of experience. If you are already employed, you should contact your current employer and let them know that you intend to major in electrical engineering and would like to take a course to qualify.
Once you have completed your coursework, you should apply to at least four schools at least three of which are likely to accept you. Keep in mind that the more universities or technical schools that you apply to, the higher your chances of being accepted.
Once you have received an acceptance letter, you can start applying for electrical engineering jobs. You will have to supply your resume and cover letter to your potential employer. Make sure to provide as much information as possible on what you will do with your future career, including examples of your previous work and how you intend to fit into the role.

These jobs allow you to perform a variety of tasks in the electronics field, including testing and troubleshooting. You may also be able to work as an electrician for smaller businesses that sell power tools.
If you want to work in manufacturing or a company that makes computers, there are still other engineering jobs available. You can work in an engineering department in a corporation or an industry research and development facility.
